Debt Office doubtful about proposal for directive on financial instruments markets

The Swedish National Debt Office is doubtful about the European Commission's proposal for a directive on financial instruments markets.

The Debt Office considers it most doubtful that there exists sufficient reason to include trading of government securities in the so-called MiFID regulations, it says in a response to the Swedish Ministry of Finance on the proposal.
