Deposit insurance – view all account types covered

The National Debt Office has published all the account types covered by the deposit insurance.

More than 2 000 types of accounts have been approved and the full list is presented on page Member institutions and types of accounts.

The information is a result of new rules introduced on 1 July 2011. Previously the National Debt Office could only approve an account type after a compensation case had occurred. A compensation case is when an institution cannot repay deposits.

The deposit insurance covers deposits up to 100 000 euro.
