The deposit insurance will expand

As of today, June 30 2009, the Swedish deposit insurance will be 50,000 euro. The compensation can never be lower than 500,000 Swedish kronor, but can be higher depending on the exchange rate euro/kronor.
The change will strengthen the consumer protection for the general public’s deposits in banks and is according to the EC-legislation.
