Central government payments - net borrowing requirement
Every month, the Debt Office presents the net outcome of the central government’s income and payments (the net borrowing requirement), which is part of the Official Statistics.
The net borrowing requirement corresponds to the budget balance with the opposite sign.

The outcome for the net lending to agencies, and therefore also the budget balance and the net borrowing requirement, is not completely correct as a result of an incorrect reading of one transaction. This has affected the reporting in the March 2024 column in the table below. The value of the transaction is approximately SEK 1 million. The outcome will be corrected during the year.
