Cookies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your computer that contains information about your visit to our website.

Manage cookies

Cookies enable us to monitor the visitor’s activity on our website and save their personal settings.

There are two types of cookies:

  • A session cookie is stored temporarily in the computer memory for the duration of the visit to a website. The session cookie disappears when the browser is closed.
  • A persistent cookie will remain on the visitor’s computer until it is removed by the user.

The Debt Office’s use of cookies

At riksgalden.se. we use both session cookies and persistent cookies to allow you full use of the website services. Session cookies are used to manage information that you provide in certain applications and when you log in to the subscription service. Persistent cookies are used to collect statistics on visits to the website in order to understand how it is used and to create data for improvements.

Disable cookies

If you do not accept the use of cookies, you can disable them in your browser’s security settings.

You can also set your browser to ask you every time a website tries to store a cookie on your computer. You can also use the browser to erase previously stored cookies; go to the browser help section for more information.

More detailed regulations regarding cookies are found in the Electronic Communications Act (2003:389). The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) is the supervisory authority in this field and can provide further information about the legislation.
